Talk about a nightmare come to life... Poor Ryan would have preferred any of his unconscious trips down memory lane to opening his eyes and being slammed with this twisted reality ( ... )

I can write evil Caleb, beach, but I don't think I can write evil Kiki--or even distant Kirsten, despite the fact that TPTB put her onscreen so often. So don't worry. Sandy and Kirsten will both be in parental mode, trust me. There has to be some balance to this maniacal Caleb!

Yes, you can write irrationally obsessed/fixated, cruel Caleb with his singular focus on demonizing, vilifying and hurting an innocent kid with no ulterior motives. Ah, the Caleb-colored glasses of paranoid and judgmental distortion... Oh, doctor...?

It's a relief to know that S3 Sandy (Who WAS that?) won't be in evidence and that canon!Kirsten will again be replaced by her far more humane, less distant and cold ff version. Her screen/show persona was so sadly lacking and disappointing. That self would be all the more heartbreaking here.

As for the nurse, maybe she'll have something in her head and in her heart that motivates her to do the right thing. Nothing like a nightmare of epic proportions with no escape- neither in an unconscious nor conscious state.

To me this seems like the worst suffering someone let endure Ryan so far - physical pain is one thing, but having all your believes questioned - I can't and won't even start to imagine that
Still an interesting fic - looking forward to the next part.

The worst suffering? Really? Eep--that's pretty scary considering the torture Ryan's been through in fanfic! I'll try not to strand him in the mental hospital too long.

I know that Ryan gets tortured a lot in various fanfics, but even if I (luckily) can't speak from experience, I see it like the following ( ... )

Wow, this must be a nightmare for Ryan. Strapped down, drugged up and feeling completely alone.
His calling out for Sandy, oh my....
But there will be a good end, right? Right!

Blame our brandy! She's the one who came up with the prompt. This is all her fault. As for a good end . . . well, I'll try!
