Best Forgotten, a fic for Brandy (pt. 4 of ?)

Apr 19, 2009 18:08

Sigh. It's lonely here in OC fic-writing land. So little company makes it hard to get inspired.

Okay, whine over. And you know the disclaimers, right? Characters (well, the main ones anyway) not mine, no profit made, etc., etc. So here's part 4 of my increasingly AU fic. Happy--or rather, unhappy--reading.

Best Forgotten, Part 4( Read more... )

YAY for an update! And I hope that with that nasty cliffhanger, Charlie and Lucy get together pretty soon!

Wait, how did you mean that exactly? (*grins*)

I started to write a comment about what a great character Caleb is and how well you're writing him. Then I got to a Seth line and I thought, "I'll have to mention him, too." Then a Sandy one and a Kirsten one. I can't quote the whole thing back at you with a compliment for each bit, now can I?

I will say that I think you've captured the energy of each character very well. The way their thoughts move and their tendencies toward action or decision-making all seem to be what I'd expect based on their depiction in the show.

Thanks.

Awesome Awesome Awesome! I do missing reading things regularly but this is just great. And Seth - totally drove me nuts. I hope he doesn't screw things up, he has such a big mouth.

I can't wait to see what happens next. Poor Ryan. Ben Sherman and John Cooper need to go look for him!

Aw, you don't think Seth can be stealth? Poor unappreciated big mouthed boy : (

Ben Sherman and John Cooper need to go look for him!

Hee. I was just picturing Caleb's face if Ben Sherman were to show up searching for Ryan. I hadn't intended to take the story in this direction, but suddenly it's very tempting!

The Cohens (well Sandy and Seth at least) have a clue! Yay! I'm hoping they'll find Ryan before it's too late, I don't like the sound of those "experimental treatments" the Doctor was talking about.

Thanks for the update :D

Hee. They do sound scary don't they? Wish I knew what they were! I suppose I'll have to figure it out at some point. Meanwhile, thanks for reading and responding.

I know from your now MIA post that was gone when I attempted to reply, that you have little time to read or respond, so I'll keep it short.

It's great to see an update, even if a quasi-canon!Kirsten shows her clueless and weak-willed stripes by being so... gullible and easily misled. Caleb continues to be his own worst enemy with his concocted stories worthy of Trey on a creative and greedily sociopathic day. Something about those Nichols... ; )

Good for Sandy engaging a brain cell- and for Charlie. Lucy's not-so-Freudian slip is telling, so I'm hoping she can be a double agent and deliver a convincing performance to the evil doctor. Ryan so needs someone on the inside, since his prison is far worse than... prison. Speaking of which, predator!Gabrielle could have been facing some legal flak, but I digress.

And poor Ryan- MIA from Newport and the chapter! Tick-tock, Charlie... Urgent!

I know! Shame on me; poor Ryan's the main character of this story and he's not even in this chapter. Talk about mistreatment. I must remedy that ASAP.

P.S. I suspect predator!Gabrielle wouldn't mind legal flak. After all, hot, sexy Ryan, especially compared to frostsickle Caleb? It would have been so worth any criminal charges, especially if Marissa hadn't interrupted.

You know the cliche- or folksy expression that moronic "W" mutilated that time re: repeat performances of shame. Please don't fall into the trap of TPTW (W= Were). Remember Ryan? The primary character who supposedly was the focus of the story, Josh? Yeah, I trust you won't let that happen.

Who would be suffering more, Gabrielle with "frostsickle Caleb," or Ryan with albatross, self-absorbed, drama-queen, user, frostsicle "M?" Yeah, I know the answer to THAT!
