Regardless, if he's calling his gay friends from home then he was going to get outted eventually anyway. As they say, you just happened to "pop his cherry".

I agree with this. And it is not your responsibility to keep him in the closet. If he was trying to stay in the closet, he should have called you on a cell.

It was my dad he called.
First off I have been out to my parents since 13.
The reason he made a mistake is he said inappropriate things to my dad thinking it was me on the phone. Although my father knows I am gay I do live in his house and he doesn't like to hear about such things. He doesn't agree with my being gay he accepts it. So before you misconceive something and make me out to be a closet case, just offer reassurance to your friend until you know all the details.
And my cherry was popped at 13 lol

Before I was out to my parents, I often wished somebody would let the cat out of the bag to save me the trouble and awkwardness. But of course, that's just me.
