Maybe you can focus on the reasons why you don't let people in? When you resolve that you may find that everyone is relating to you on a deeper level.

I agree with this. Also, you just need to let the past go. It happened...instead of dwelling LEARN something from it and move on. Life sucks a lot of the times and nothing works out like in TV or the movies.

going off of that. unlike in the movies. sometimes there is nothing useful that you can learn from a situation, which makes it even harder to let go and move on.

I was always told that if you are too preoccupied with the past then that leads to depression. Don't you have future aspirations to move you forward? Only now am I learning this lesson as I am single and able to focus on #1. That is the best thing you could do for yourself right now even though it is your true nature to be a giver.

I always give too much of myself and lose sight of me when I think too much of others.

ah my fellow pisces. We are not givers by nature. We are adaptors. We often give because its easiest. But lets face it, giving isn't always what is needed. Giving is for Cancers, and Scorpios looking for sex.

You are right. It does lead to depression. I've been depressed for months, and until very recently, no one knew what was eating away at me.

Now that its out, those who live near me almost mock my situation. They've seen it before, they know how I can be. So whatever. Darkness follows my friend. Darkness follows.

I concur that it's better to be alone than with people who don't get you. People who do get you will then come along. Easier said than done, I know.
