But who is Kathleen Brennan? Hard to know, exactly. She's the most mysterious figure in the whole Tom Waits mythology. Newspaper articles and press releases always describe her the same way, as "the wife and longtime collaborator of the gravelly-voiced singer." You will see her name on all of his albums after 1985. Thursday, I went to see Autopilot Is For Lovers again, and their associates in Americana-acoustic-picking, Porches. Donald Judd art-furniture or cheap box-store crap?

The first one is pretty hard; the second two are fairly easy if you've read up on art, go to museums, ARE an art-student, etc. The last one is fairly easy, but has a twist.

I was reading some Slavoj Zizek, since I re-watched a documentary on him and finally got a book of his, How To Read Lacan. Jacques Lacan was a French prof who took some Freud ideas (and I guess some Hegel too?
