The Joys of Being Lazy

Ah, sweet sweet spring break.  I had planned on driving to Graceland and Nashville with a couple of friends, but alas, the car requires prohibitively expensive repairs.  This is my first short break just staying in Oberlin.  Originally, I had thought that what I needed was some excitement and adventure- particularly since this is my last school ( Read more... )

TV: Psych, Burn Notice, Breaking Bad, Scrubs, The Office, Jon and Kate Plus 8, Ax Men (it's okay, only seen it once but it was intriguing), Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job!, Superjail, ...That's all I can think of as of now...If you can't find these on the actual television, I would suggest www.watchtvsitcoms.com or www.hulu.com

Movies: I can only think of Watchmen right now, it was pretty good...And lots of penis. That's some incentive to go. It IS long, but the Watchmen's alternate universe is so awesome. Great costumes. Good times.

Unfortunately I haven't really seen anything recently, other than that, worth watching. Maybe if you can find this one movie called The Motel, I think you might like it. I actually own it and, if you want, I could make you a copy. That is if we can get Josh's burner to work, but let me know.

Books: World War Z

That's all you need to know.

In terms of books, I've been on kind of a non-fiction kick lately, and I really enjoyed Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. I'm currently reading Gang Leader for a Day, which is not my typical fare but interesting sociologically. Hmm, what else? Oh, I read Foucault's Pendulum, and half of me enjoyed it and half thought it was way too pretentious and dense.

Enjoy your spring break! Hearing Obies talk about being on break is making me all nostalgic. On the plus side, the amount of pleasure reading I've done since graduation has skyrocketed; having free time again is definitely something to look forward to.
