where cc is actually turned off sexually by Mr. Charm's music

I've decided what my true boggart is. It's an life-sized iPod full of Mr. Charms music. Imagine it, a 5-foot silver iPod grooving to all those 80's tunes we've tried to forget...not to mention the Johnny Lee classic from Urban Cowboy, "Lookin' for Love" (the actual song that brutally murdered my libido. He went through his entire iPod with me the ( Read more... )

Oh, goodness! I miss those days of ickle firsties in the water! Soooo cute!! All shivering while standing on the pool edge waiting to get in! And, then, the dreaded BUBBLE! Why don't they give the parents instructions on how to put those gd things on?? Anyway, have fun in the water thursday!

And can sympathise with the music choices, but only a tad. Mr. Rose grew up in the 70's, and still listens to classic rock. Well, that's ok, but he also believes that "disco" never took off, and hiphop is a fad. ***HEADDESK***

CAn you say, O L D M A N?????

At least Mr. Charm still likes music. Mr. U (when I met him 20 years ago) insisted he liked music. However, he doesn't enjoy dancing (!?!?!) and in the past few years, when I give him music he doesn't even listen to it!! I gave him Eric freaking God Clapton playing Robert Johnson songs and he didn't listen to it (yet he calls himself a blues fan) *shakes head sadly* I guess it's my job to be the music junkie in the family. Actually I can see where he's coming from. A lot of people are emotionally CHAINED to the music they grew up with. I'm lucky I've been paying attention to music the past 5 years. The Drifty gals have certainly helped with that :D

I will admit to loving "Take Me Home" and "Too Late to Turn Back Now", myself.

I've developed a wildly eclectic taste in music over the years. I still love my 80s classics. I adore piano-trio jazz. Over the last seven years or so, while I've been tuning out the boy bands and Britney-wannabes, I've gotten into Celtic music and various indie bands along with Mr. Q. And now, like Anne, I'm discovering a lot of great new music out there through my Potter connections.

I hope we can afford to pay for a pool membership this summer; I so want Q. Jr. to learn to swim early.

I love my 80s music, but in a different way than what I listen to now. 80s music fits in the category of "oh, I remember that song and I remember where I was the first time I heard that song." It's fun to listen to it every once in a while and think back to when I was a kid and summer vacations watching MTV when they still actually played music videos.

But ultimately, I keep it in the past. I openly admit that I have a very eclectic music taste. I love groups like the Killers and Franz Ferdinand, but I can also listen to pop music and even country. It all just depends on what kind of mood I'm in.
