drew got the job in blacksburg. yes, i know i haven't talked about it, but there it is.

I don't have much experience w/ Blacksburg other than driving through it, but i DO know it's only 2 hours south of Charlottesville, and you will LOVE Charlottesville. in fact you and Kara need to move up here some day. seriously. it's perfect for you two.

i think i'll just keep pretending you're in tennessee though. tennessee is cool. elvis was from there, and shit.

Actually kind of a humorous story abt vtech. The first person I ever met from there, way back in the 80s, was this engineering student named Tim who had a summer job in our stupid tech manuals group. Basically all the kids with summer jobs tended to be relatives of people who worked in our department. Tim was no exception. He was the son of this awful tight-assed probably slightly mentally ill gender-biased uberCatholic right wing nerd man. We all felt sorry for Right Wing Nerd Man's wife because he kinda treated her like she was stupid. As for Tim he seemed like this horrible preppie kid. I yelled at him once after he said one of the other engineering interns (a manager's daughter who was removed from her summer job by her daddy after she got overly friendly with one of the flirty partying black guys in the group) was fat or ugly or something. I was all of like five years older than Tim and blasted him in the cafeteria for being a sexist peeg ( ... )

well, at this point, it's not a definite. and anyway, i'm probably going to have to stick around to take summer classes.

plus my family lives here, remember? and all my friends? what, you think i'm never coming back?

you have to hang out with me more in order to be allowed to be sad. :P
