Or maybe the light side, depending on how you look at it. I have finally gotten a new laptop since mine was stolen in December. And I got a Mac. So far, it feels more like I am playing with a toy than using a computer, but I've only had it for two days. So we'll see.

It's amazing how differently I feel about my boss going out of town now. My first year of grad school, I was always very upset when he left because I felt helpless and like I couldn't get anything done if he wasn't there to help me. Now, it's like, thank god he's leaving.... now I can finally get some work done around here.

I made all my friends cupcakes for Valentine's Day. If I will have the misfortune of not seeing you tomorrow to give you yours, you will just have to imagine eating it on your own. It's red velvet with cream cheese icing.

As many people already have heard, my car was broken into Thursday evening.
