Because there's no better way to snap mom or pop out of a drug habit like their child hurting them.

I really don't know what to say...

My father died from a drug OD within the past few years, so this really struck a nerve. Your dad doesn't have to have a serious heroin habit for his drug use to get dangerous. My dad died as a result of combining cocaine and alcohol.

Talk to him about it, do something. Don't end up regretting not taking action. Spend as much time as you can with him... I know that sounds horribly morbid, but it's the least you can do. My dad didn't have any non-lethal ODs, just the one and he was gone.

I'd be way more worried about them doing crack than heroin. Shit heroin these days unless you get some good shit, is just like popping a couple vicodin. Unless they;ve got bad habits and are careless with their use, I wouldn't be that worried.
