A temperature scale that never quite caught on was formulated by the Austrian chemist Johann Sebastian Farblunget. The reference points on this scale were 0 degrees FB, the temperature below which Farblunget's postnasal drip began to bother him, and 1000 degrees FB, the boiling point of beer. Both those scales would only really be useful to them. Who the heck cares when his postnasal drip bothers him?...although instead of the optimum serving temp for snails it should have been for beer. That would have been better.
