In which Cherie throws a fucking rave over a mytharc episode and everyone goes home very confused. This is my first honest-to-God episode reaction post since I gave up on Season 6.

There are spoilers here, but truly, what could spoil this episode? Nothing could. You shut your hussy mouth. )

JK. Anyways, I actually really loved that detail about Sam. OF COURSE he knows serial killers. He's an encyclopedia geek boy and he knows about the human monsters just as well as the creature ones. ;u;
And of course, Dean's examples of real hobbies. How domestic of him <3
Man. What (the hell) happened to Hell. The unnamed demons are the lamest ever. Same with the angels. Everyone's so bogged down with irrelevance it's like they don't even try to make them interesting. But who cares anyway because:
SAM AND DEAAAAAAAAN. I was so in love with them in this ep. You're right, they were ON POINT. IT WAS FAB. And what you said: "And Sam knows what he needs. Is right there catching him and holding him and whispering all those sweet reassurances Dean so desperately needs to hear." That image is mine now, and that is exactly what was going on there.
Dean doesn't need to have ( ... )

When Sam came back to life, the look on Dean's face upon seeing Sam revived. The way Sam and Dean GENERALLY used to look at each other like their eyes could convey the entire range of emotions they were feeling for each other. I saw that last night. For the first time in 3 seasons I could see why these brothers became so fucking important to me. And once again I'm hooked. ROBERT BERENS AND PHIL SGRICCIA FOR PRESIDENTS!

It was definitely there. Everything clicked. I mean, everything. Fucking art, that's what that episode was.

Though, just saying, I wouldn't be too hopeful. Only one person on the current writing staff could possibly know they're soulmates, seeing as how no one has ever watched any episodes except the ones they wrote.

I pretty much spit tea onto my computer when Sam closes the barn doors and he's all long spread legs too.
And Dean being scared, Cain telling dean he's living his life in reverse, and Sam at the end, totally supportive but not stupid. Yeah. Those are my boys!
