Throughout this story, I've been wondering if Reid was going to open himself to Luke completely and allow Luke to enter him. This would be the ultimate dropping of his defenses. And it was beautiful.

Reid did say that he had surgery. But he took his things? Great ending!

So glad you thought so! (on both fronts) Once I'd made the transition in my mind early on from this being just about wish fulfillment (mine) to it being an attempt at a real story, it was clear there was really only one place it could go. Hence my addiction to foreshadowing :)

OMG I had no idea that was coming, my heart is breaking knowing Luke's insecurities are only beginning to be dealt with...and he's just not going to cope with this! (yeah, and you know I'm not going to either).

After the incredibly tenderness of their lovemaking and Reid allowing Luke to claim him as no other had...AND THEN THIS!!!! Please, please, please, Reid, do not be freaking out, please just be thinking of a way you can show your love back to Luke, please don't let your own hurt of Luke's betrayal taint what you could both have together. PLEASE?????

Mmm, I would like nothing more than to lock myself in a room and write this forever...

I can promise that there will be no more tainting. Well, not in the bad way, at least (this fandom has permanently warped my mind). (sorry if "taint" is just an Americanism - it was a weak joke to begin with :))
