So I found out today that I get to spend 5 days in Washington DC in March. 3 Days at a summit and 2 more days LOBBYING AT THE NATION'S CAPITOL!!!!! Okay, I'm a dork, but I think it's pretty damn cool. Ms Doman goes to Washington, or something like that.

First day of work is over. It went really pretty well. I have a much better idea of what the hell I'm doing...well, sort of. I'm going to be doing a lot of work with the Get Out the Vote campaign, working with various student congresses etc. Spent most of the day compiling contact info for another campaign, familiarizing myself with my territory ( Read more... )

Back from my second interview with MSUSA. I feel incredibly confident...I really think I might have a chance at this job. Pay is...so-so. Atrocious. Absolute crap. My job interview was like a parody of a real job interview. The only thing that justifies them interviewing me for a full hour was that it was so bad it was hilarious. I can't help but laugh over it. It was just that bad!

Meh, everyone needs one good shitty interview story in their lifetime! Nothing to do about it now!

Why oh why can't I be one of those people who's content doing nothing, content with boring. I thrive on excitement, new things, and being broke as hell has left me with nothing to do. Ridiculously happy lately...funny how things just sort of poof into working out. Have you ever turned on the light after you've been in the dark for a while, and when you blink rapidly, you can actually feel your pupils dilating and can see the light getting incrementally (sp?) brighter? Exciting news from the recent graduate...I have my first interview tomorrow! I'm pretty excited, and a little bit nervous too. It's with the Minnesota State University Student Association, as a campus organizer (which is what I did with NARAL, which I think helps a bit).
