Dear Barnes and Noble

I know that I'm just one person and don't know about running a huge mega-chain of retail stores but I have this idea...

When the paperback version of a New York Times best selling book is released. You might just want to actually bring the copies out from the back room and have them in the store.

It's just a thought...

That's only if you want to actually sell some to make money... :p

I get the feeling this store makes about double the money at the Starbucks so they don't really bother with the retail part. But who knows.

I got my book and I'm already half way though so I'm happy!

You know, as a B&N employee, I thought about replying to this, talking about all the reasons why it might have not gotten to the floor in a timely matter, or why we're not "idiots" just because, as over-worked retailers, we miss something (even something like that).

But honestly, if I start, I'll never stop.

Hmmm it appears more explanation is needed here. This is just one B&N and this is not the first time that I and a few others have had problems with this particular store. There are about 10 other BN's in the area that I love to shop at and are managed well with great employees, but this is the store next to my office and so when I want something right away without driving 20 miles. I usually go here ( ... )
