Strangeness today. Susan and I had just arrived at school and while we were walking down the breezeway, Max comes up behind me and is just kind of lurking there. Then when I turned around to see who it was, and he just kind of looks up...not saying anything. I returned the favor as apparently we aren't on speaking terms, but then he did say

Max went to Hanes, but he's a year older than us. Umm, he rode my bus and when I was in 7th (he in 8th) I had a huge crush on him. Come to find out, he liked me too...but Sarah (the girl who knew we both liked each other) failed to tell us, so nothing really happened there. We were good friends, though..I guess that's about it. When he went to West we just had a falling out, stopped talking online/anywhere etc. (although he still talked to Alison--which did, I have to admit, make me jealous). Whenever I saw him it was always this awkward looking at each other business...and I've wanted to start talking to him now that I see him more. But I've been too much of a wimp to go and try to start something there again, for fear of rejection, of course. It's just strange for him to actually initiate conversation, mainly because I thought he and I were like Walker and I...not on speaking terms because of his choice, not mine. So...there's more to the story, but I guess that's the semi-short bit.

next time you see him say something like, "hey, how are you? what's up? haven't talked to you in a long time." if he replies, cool. if not, so what? You are one hott single beast. No need for one guy to hold you back all summer. Options options everywhere, where the bop-it will point, nobody knows.
