Yay for employment!
So! Since moving to Portland, I've had to be stingy. No job plus strange new city (including all the heinous expenses that come with moving) equals no fun. I haven't really even been leaving my apartment, so that I might save on gas. And job hunting with no connections in an extremely competitive environment is a frustrating process

May I suggest a bicycle, because Portland is small and also they are fun.

Gah, I wish I could bike to work. Unfortunately, my job is actually in Tigard, which is a 25 minute drive in itself... I'm looking into public transportation, but until I get all that figured out, I'm stuck driving (which is one thing I wanted to avoid by moving here!). Oh well, maybe I can find a closer job soon. You were right though... job-hunting here is not easy!
