ive been taking Yasmine for a few years and i really like it. i was first on ortho-tricyclin but switched because i heard that yasmine (which was new at the time) has low estrogen levels (high amounts of it can cause all of those bad things that you mentioned above)... but now they make ortho-tricyclin with low estrogen levels too. ortho is known for clearing up skin so i would recommend that. i was on it for years and it cleared up my skin and helped with everyone else.

oo, thanks. Yea, im one of those unlucky souls that can barely walk when they get "it". i just sort of spend a few days on the couch with heat packs, red wine, pamprin and popcicles. and also nagging neil and saying "could you punch my back or massage it or something? why does this happen to my beautiful face?"" its unhealthy at best.

yeah i get really bad too. i had to go home from work last time cause i threw up! well... it was either cause of that or the binge drinking that took place the night before. either way "IT" sucks.

ooo, you girls do help. thanks a bunch. though kait, the stories of major weight gain and pregnancy are terrifying. im so fertile its scary. as for the IUD, i HATE it when you can see them (arent those the sticks women have on the upper arm?).

i just got the iud (bc its good for 5 years and i'm NOT having another baby for at least another 3 if i can help it.) i also got pregnant on the tricyclin so thats out. all the pill forms of birth control are really the old school way now i think. i had the ring and i loved it. as long as you're comfortable with touching yourself once a month! the shot is a tough one too like kaitlyn said. i know quite a few people on the shot and they gained over 25 lbs and it kinda made them miserable. the iud you don't even notice. i got it about 2 months ago and there has just been spotty-ness for a little while but the nurse said it will be gone by the end of next month and then everything goes back to normal. it completely regulates your system...lightens your periods...low hormones...and you're not required to remember to do anything. which is the part i like the most. and i have 2 kids so i know what you mean about being fertile mertle. and if u decide in two years it only takes up to 6 months to become pregnant (to have the abilty ( ... )

an IUD goes in your uterus (intra-uterine device).. the rods in your arm are called "NorPlant" or something like that.. i think Alisha Blake had/has them (i remember talking about it in health class).. and im not sure if they still do them, because my doctor didn't mention them, when i asked about different BC options...

an IUD is really teeny tiny, and they implant it into your uterus when you have "it" (which makes me not want to get it, because-- well, i dont want a dr. messin' around with me while im in that state!!!) however, don't listen to me because i dont have one. lol
