A phrase I hate: "This is the best Christmas ever."
A phrase I would kill someone if they said: "Best Chrismukkah ever."
I think they should have to wait until after Thanksgiving to advertise Christmas movies. Because most Christmas movies suck. -

I haven't had any motivation lately. I mean, it's ridiculous. I'm sleeping way too much. Yesterday, after lunch with the English Club, I went back to my room and fell asleep. Classes are mostly good. Bible as Literature has some great professors (it's a married couple that tag-team teaches), the same in Comparative Politics (the prof actually graduated from WM in '80 and had classes in the room where he now teaches our class); Fiction Workshop is okay, the prof is kind of flighty, but all writing profs are. I just saw the movie, A Prairie Home Companion. It was really good. The only thing is, good thing Garrison Keillor is in radio, because he is a scary-looking dude. It's especially shocking because he has such an amazing voice. -

Well, I'm all moved in, although I have no idea how to arrange my room since my roommate isn't moving in until Saturday at the earliest. Oh well. It's eerie quiet since only a few people are here. Freshmen move in Friday, upperclassmen Saturday through Tuesday. I'm here early because of the newspaper ( Read more... ) -

On Thursday we drove to Mystic, Connecticut, and checked into the hotel. We went to dinner at this place called Abbott’s, it’s a casual seafood outdoors place. It was pretty good, we all basically tried various kinds of seafood.
