Quick musing

Watching the finale of Flavor of Love: Charm School, I noticed that the ending had a very different tone from most other reality shows.  In the end, the final contestants seemed genuinely happy for one another, and (dare I say it?) supportive.  I hadn't seen this before.

My question:  What might have caused this?

Possible answers:

(1) Gender

(2) Class

I have no knowledge of the show of which you speak, so I can't contribute anything meaningful to this discussion. I will note, however, that the thought of you watching a show entitled "Flavor of Love: Charm School" is quite amusing to me.
That is all.

To clarify:

The show is a spinoff of the original show, "Flavor of Love," in which Flavor Flav, of Public Enemy fame, attempted to find his true love. This new show, "Flavor of Love: Charm School," takes contestants from the original, and puts them through a finishing school competition. An urban-American take on the BBC's "Ladette to Lady".

What's really great is the contestants. These are women who were appropriate mates to Flavor Flav, but didn't quite live up to his lofty romantic expectations.
