Though your dream sounds particularly frightful, I do think that this evolving spider bird baby is beautiful in a way, I'm not suggesting that things which bite you are , Or that the dream ending was fulfilling ,but isn't it strange that after you tried to kill it you then looked on it with pity. Dreams are good places for insight, I think. I once had a similar situation with a bird and a bb gun happen in real life when I was 7 and not old enough to understand empathy. I ended up digging up worms for it to eat for weeks until it died....
