Wow, you're on a roll, Simon!

Still haven't gotten to the music in your other post. *facepalm*

...proves that you don't always need super-duper sophisticated special effects to create the scary and the creepy
That's what the original Twilight Zone was all about, though I realize you weren't talking about it. XD Would be a complete TZ junky if allowed.

Was a big fan of The Girl in the Fireplace as well!

Umm...moving along... You bought out your local market's supply of Ben & Jerry's, did you? I'm shocked. I mean, I knew you liked ice cream, but had no idea it was to such lengths. Vanilla Swiss Almond sounds very good, as does S'mores. What's in Turtle Soup? Something with chocolate, nuts and caramel?

I'm not sure what's more difficult, giving up ice cream for Lent and sticking with it or not being able to stomach it despite the lack of restriction.

Told you I'm inspired again. *g*

Twilight Zone had some great stories. Yeah, scary too.

I think some of those who didn't like it were out off by the fact that the doctor loved someone else other than Rose. Shipping gets in the way, sometimes.

Seriously, I don't always have four different flavors chilling in my fridge all the time. LOL! Turtle Soup is vanilla ice cream with caramel swirls, and nuts, and something else I can't remember.

The time factor (as in, the lack of) has kept me from getting into any fandomish things when it comes to Doctor Who. I've all but abandoned Harry Potter for the same reason. It's good you can look beyond ships, though. Always good.

Ha ha...since two containers of B&J is roughly equivalent to one half gallon, you're fine. ;) Sounds good! It would be odd if there wasn't some sort of chocolate involved, though. Hmm...

I have abandoned the HP fandom. Well, I wasn't an active participant, anyway, beyond enjoying the fanfiction.

Hah. I can easily eat a pint at one sitting if I felt like it.

Yay, a music rec! I'v been wanting some new tunes--I feel like I've ODed on the CDs I have now and my daughter wants to listen to Nickelback over and over. O_o

Dr. Who is teh sparkle, but it frequently scares my child, so I don't get to watch it very much. The one with the aliens hiding under the girl's bed stayed with her for months. Will have to buy the DVDs, I guess, and watch them after she's gone to bed.

*skips to the store to peruse the ice cream section*

There's more in the previous post too. And swing over to songs_i_like as well. traceria and others have been posting there too.

I haven't seen too many of the old series, but the new ones do seem darker--although, most of the effects are cheesy rather than scary. Kids don't see the difference, I guess. DVDs are a good idea.

Enjoy your ice-cream.

I love Arkansas, but sometimes I hate living here! No White Rabbit ANYWHERE! And none of the mentioned ice cream flavors at my grocery. And do you know how expensive it is to fly from here out of the country??? Damn it. *moves to the East Coast since the West Coast is going to fall off soon* :P

White Rabbits is kinda hard to find , not being on a major label. i got mine from amazon. Actually i have a tough time getting indie bands since my record store went out of business.

Double bummer about the ice cream.

Haha. Very funny. Arkansas just has to join the rest of the world soon. :PP
