Ok. Remember back a couple months ago when I was sick in Hungary with pericarditis? Yeah, found out I was misdiagnosed. I went to a doctor a week and a half ago because of similar pain. He did some tests and saw no sign on the EKG that I'd had pericarditis. It is costochondritis, which sounds scary but in fact is just inflammation of the tendons ( Read more... )

Well, I am back in the US and currently in Ohio taking 2 grad classes at Capital so I can renew my provisional teaching license so that I can get a teaching job, if someone decides to hire me somewhere. I didn't realize till today how much I really missed my computer. OK, so explanation of the past week. Last Wednesday morning, I came up to my room from my shower and was feeling really short of breath/having chest pains. I was thinking it was an asthma attack, so I used my inhaler. I finally made it back to Hungary Monday evening, after 12 hours of travelling. I was exhausted. Anyways, the rest of the trip was pretty good. Not as exciting as the first half, but ok. Greetings from the sunny land of Greece! I left last Wednesday(skipping hungarian music lit and folk music) with Gabby and her friend for Budapest. We went to an art museum to see the Goya exhibit, and then to the baths to relax. It was really nice. We ended up staying out really late at this pizza place with this hungarian guy Gabby likes. Yesterday, Gabby and I were walking somewhere and something she said made me think of my grandmother. And I realized that I hadn't thought about her in a long time. It made me feel bad. so, interesting day today. gabby, laurissa and i went to jako's(the best cafe ever!) and these two guys walk in and sit at the table next to us, and start talking in english! we found out that they were british and talked to them. turns out that they've been living in hungary for 3 years, and the younger one(my age!) just became a hungarian ( Read more... )
