One hell of a scare...
We had a really bad scare on Tuesday. Furby, our dog, got really sick. I took him to get his yearly booster and rabies shots. Everything seemed fine until we got home. My Birthday...
I spent the entire day avoiding anything that even vaguely resembled work. Pampered myself. Didn't do the hair treatment that I planned, but I did wash my hair. Gave myself a nice oatmeal and brown sugar body scrub, then used a double amount of body conditioner. My skin is baby-soft now. Had a quiet day. Just watched TV and vegetated. That ( Read more... ) -

Decorating ideas...
Within a few months we'll be moving. I've already decided that I'm decorating my new room in shades of natural, khaki, dark brown, sage, and (of course) light blue. Apartment woes...
Mom rejected the apartment she had initially chosen on Friday. We went to measure and our stuff just wouldn't fit, especially the stuff in my bedroom. However, we signed for another apartment today and it looks like this is the best we're going to get. It's on the sixth floor, which is both a good thing and a bad thing. Apartment finally chosen...
Today marks the day that we finally know where we will be moving to. Mom picked out our new apartment this morning. She says it's a bit smaller than the one we're in now (obviously, since the apartment we live in is huge for a low income building in New York) but not too small. BTW, my hair is all super shiny now after my homemade hair treatment. No extra shine products needed at all.

Hair treatment...
Yes, I'm feeding my hair. Just using a homemade hair treatment actually. My hair is really dry and my scalp has been itchy lately. Probably because it's been a while since I've done what is usually a monthly hair treatment. I'll share my recipe for happy hair ( Read more... )
