springtime meal

I've been eating much better since detox-cleansing (oh except for some Cadbury mini-eggs and cupcakes, of course). Breads still make me feel sluggish so I'm fazing it out. I still like noodles and pasta, and had the most delicious lunch today from the Healthy Life cookbook The Food You Crave by Ellie Krieger.

you know, I've sorta fallen off the diet wagon these past two weeks (I give myself a free pass whenever I'm sick, lol).

but in any case, that's great you're trying to eat healthier! I was a bit disappointed to find out in the middle of my diet, that wheat pasta's only a handful of calories less than regular pasta, lol. booo. but it's all about portion control and eating frequency anyway. in all cases, good job all around! looks yummy!

Yes, any flour product is not a happy thing for the body I hear. I actually used regular pasta, not whole wheat, although the box says that it's "Smart" pasta and has the benefits of whole wheat pasta. Uh, yeah. Good luck on eating healthier too!

Yes, you're right, it's the Smart pasta which has the nutrition of whole wheat pasta -- so it says! Either way, I like fusilli, the curls hold in a lot of dressing, yum.
