trying to get knocked up. Yep, Chris has finally agreed to impregnate me :) Hurray! We were going to keep it a secret, but you all know I have a big mouth and get obsessive when I want something badly so I couldn't keep it quiet. There reason I should have kept it quiet (other than it's personal and some people may not want to hear about what's ( Read more... )

OH MY GOD!
My parents have sex?!
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck though, you know I love you and whatever offspring you should produce. And I promise not to make them too demented, at least not right away. I'll hold off on playing The Shining for them until they're 10. I think 7 or 8 was a little too early for me, so I'll wait until they're 10, they should be ready by then :) I'll take them to my great grandmother's old farm house late at night, so it'll be just like it was for me; hearing the squirrles scratching around upstairs and all.... It's sure to be a great time!
*YAY*

Hey, congrats! It's a big step, and to be honest, I worry about the same exact thing for me. Two years ago went to the doc and he was concerned I might have that too, but my PAP came out negative, and he didn't say I needed any more testing, and there are certain genetic traits I have inherited, much to my chagrin... I'm still not sure if that means I'm out of the woods, but I AM regular, and I have lost some 30 pounds since then and do exercise the recommended 3 to 5 hours a week, and do take vitamins and try to eat healthy... so I have to believe all that has helped me. I too, would like to have kids someday- I am the motherly type afterall (homebody, likes to bake and cook and pamper her loved ones)- but have to be honest, sometimes I have doubts... that I could every have any, or that it would even be a good idea for me (that I would be a good parent, that I could afford kids, etc, etc?). When the time comes, and if God is willing, I guess I will have my answer... till then, it's just speculation and wishful thinking.

you two would have such adorable children! i wish you all the best in this mission? calling? whatever. i've no doubt you'll succeed and maybe even sooner than you think! good luck with the diet, too. hopefully you'll end up pregnant and much healthier to boot. on a completely unrelated note, i'm hoping to make it up to ludington sometime in late september. you need to meet scott already!

much love,

maria

p.s. love the HP3 picture! what did you think of the new book?

this is the best news!!! i'm very excited for you both-- between all the "trying" and the end result it's going to be great fun!! (stressful at times too, but what great rewards!!)

obviously you're going to be an amazing, fun, supportive, protective mom and it makes my heart melt to think of daddy bass. your children will be blessed to have the two of you... you're like a babyraising dynamo! you might want to keep auntijax at a distance until at least the 12th grade though... ;)

good luck with the pcos stuff... i think i told you that i have it too... and nothing has worked so well for me as regulating the amount of starches/carbs in my diet and EXERSIZE. too bad curves is an evil repulican anti choice devil otherwise it would seem like a great idea to join it. good luck, lady!!!!!!
