The prospect of cloth diapering is so much less daunting now that we have a new dryer! We went back to California almost 2 weeks ago. Had a freaking awesome time, of course. It was somewhat of an impromptu trip, planned over about a month. We love it out there so much it's scary. Opening Day was AMAZING! Had been looking forward to it for months and it didn't disappoint! The tickets we bought on Stubhub were never delivered so they substituted "comparable or better" tickets per their policy - and we got better ones! December is trying to destroy us. Now one of our family's dogs (Layla) has lymphoma. Very poor prognosis. Hopefully she will live a few more months. WTF else is going to happen to us now? 2010 cannot come fast enough.

Our home inspection was no good. We withdrew our offer. Really sucks!! So now it's basically back to square one. We'll go look at a few houses tomorrow. We'll see what happens. The tax credit was extended so there's not much of a rush now. Hopefully we will find something better soon. Still disappointing as we were not expecting them to find too ( Read more... )

Breaking news!

The short sale FINALLY went through, not 2 days after our realtor told us it probably would not go through! So the last few days has been a whirlwind of papers and arranging inspections and appraisals and whatnot, because we are supposed to close on November 24th!

On Sunday we put an offer on a house about 15 minutes after we toured it. It's on the smaller side, but perfect. And today they accepted!!
