I think I've found some strange loophole in my sleep system. Over the past 3 months there have been numerous occasions where I have only gained 4-5 hours of sleep (today, for example) and have required a coffee to become functional (and get over sleep inertia). There is an ambivalence I feel about about being without money. On the one hand, I couldn't afford nice coffee for this very shift, so I have to exist in relative coffee squalor, using instant to tide me over until morning. I had a really nice time on Saturday. Many wonderful (and quite intense) chats and wafty experiences. It's so nice wandering around the musically obscure web, sourcing nice indie / post-rock goodness. I have been hearing about plenty of new bands then finding their album on amazon.com to sample. I kind of have that existential doubt I haven't felt for six years. I didn't get my scholarship this year. Thus, this long holiday that usually encapsulates the summer and erodes my active mind has now become life. The 'real world'. I need to continue study.
