so i've effed things up pretty royally, with a couple people very specifically and then just in general, my life is kind of a fuzzy mess. but whatever, that's fine, i just need to do all my college applications this week, which will be awesome, really, and my mom is now giving me a really hard time for not having applied early somewhere

Well, better a fuzzy mess than a spiky mess. (That's what I always say? ...) Tell your mom that it's too late to change anything, just let it go.

As for the friend situation, you should be able to figure out some solution without terminating the friendship. If you look at it on the grand scale, telling them you used to like them is a pretty silly reason to not be friends anymore.

You know, if you make it clear that you *used* to like them and don't currently, it should all be quite all right.

However, if you actually DO like them, and tell them that, and they don't reciprocate... we all know what kind of stuff THAT leads to. *EMOOOOO*
