Slept through classes today. Never even made it out of the apartment.

I think these meds are messing with me. Never been on drugs before except the time I gutted myself but they put me under on purpose for that so I don't remember but I'm pretty sure they're not supposed to do this. Just stupid painkillers for a stupid broken wrist ( Read more... )

wrist, drugs

I'd think the medication is acting stronger on you than it's supposed to because you don't take meds for small problems, it sounds? If that's the case, you don't have the normal immunities to medicines.

Still, maybe you should talk to your doctor? It isn't a good idea to go off medication without medical recommendation first but I've only heard that about ones for mental problems so this might be different but I'd still recommend asking a doctor about it.

Let me know if I can bring you anything, 'kay? ♥

Could be. Most things you just suck up and deal with, y'know? But I guess I really messed up my wrist when I fell on it--well, and then when two other guys fell on me--so there's a metal plate in it now and everything. Which is gonna stink if I ever need to go through a security checkpoint.

Gonna try to make it to school today--slept in my room with the dogs last night instead of on the couch, which means I got woken up bright and early. I'm on half-dose and it hurts like anything so hopefully I'll stay awake during class.

Food's always a good thing! *engaging grin*

Oooh, metal plates are awesome. I've kind of always wanted one (one step closer to becoming a cyborg) but I've never gotten that hurt before. Though that's probably a good thing, I wouldn't want to risk cyber-psychosis.

Good luck with the classes, and I'll see about bringing over some food! I'd also be happy to help with homework if it's anything I can help with.

I dunno if a plate in your wrist puts you at risk for cyber-psychosis, I'd think that'd be more likely with a plate in your head or something. Like that guy with the railroad spike through his head except, uh, no hole.

Well, there is some physics junk...

Listen to Orihime about the medication and don't be an idiot, get it checked out. Some painkillers do make you sleepy, at least they come with warnings about not operating heavy machinery. Did you read the label?

Well I was doped up enough before they gave me the meds that I didn't really understand what I read. Not something I recognize, anyway, which means it's not used for dogs or anything. (Granted I haven't taken Pharmacology yet but I know some stuff just hanging around the clinic.)

Lemme snag the bottle--

Yeah. No operating heavy machinery. No driving. But I don't think it's supposed to knock me out like this.

You would think no driving would count under the operating heavy machinery section. Cars being quite heavy by all accounts.

Wouldn't it be a little worrying if they had given you dog medicine?

I always thought heavy machinery was more like cranes and stuff? Or backhoes. Man, I'd like one a those.

Not really. Painkillers for dogs aren't much different from painkillers for humans, except in smaller doses. Distemper shots'd be kinda a pain though.

...Orihime-san and Rukia-san are right, Kiba-kun. Don't just stop taking your medicine. Sleep isn't necessarily a bad thing.

...I can make some soup if it might help? ...Except I'm sure your roomates could do that.

Well sleep's kinda a bad thing when I got classes I'm already struggling in, y'know? I've cut it down to half-dosage so I should be okay.

Well they're kinda busy. I'd like that, Hinata, if you got time.

...That's true. If you want some help with homework or anything, you can always come here or I can go there and study?

I can bring some by later then. ...Is after I get home from work alright?

Aside from the girls' recommendations (which I agree with), why don't you try a doctor's note to stave off a few days and recuperate properly? I'll help you with catching up or writing, if you need it.

Eh, too much of a pain. Could get Hana to try and write a note, she's DVM, maybe they'd take that...

But she'd probably kick me and tell me to go to school anyway. And I'm already up so there's not much point.

Yeah, it is a pain in the ass. Oh well, just give me a heads up if typing up papers is too slow, all right?

Will do, thanks! As soon as I get my head clear enough to figure out what the heck I'm talking about.

...On the other hand, turning in a paper I wrote while drugged could be kinda interesting. If very bad for my grade.
