I'm Corylea on Dreamwidth

gingerbred reminded me that it's been awhile since I told people where to find me on Dreamwidth. I'm Corylea over there.  I use Corylea as my online name for most things (except fan fiction), so I used the migration to Dreamwidth to bring my journal name into alignment with my usual online name

Is it okay if I ask about your name? I've never seen "Beffey" as a name before; where does it come from?

I've been called Beth all my life. I worked for an energy company for over forty years, and somewhere along the line one of my coworkers who had worked there the longest had given me the nickname of Beffeysue. He gave everyone a nickname . And that was the name I chose for my LJ.

I worked in the Central Laboratory and there were only ten employees in that department, but there were thousands of employees in the entire company. So every one of us who worked there were "gifted" with a nickname, and when someone called for one of us for help or information, they used our nickname.
