Could you explain to me why you took welkin guide over Rhox War Monk/Seaside Citadel in pack 4? I'm open to the suggestion that it might be the right pick but it doesn't seem intuitively so.

yeah, my eyes went straight to those two cards... no argument with the Welkin pick there though, GW aggro is one of the best decks in this format, and the Welkin Guide really shines in that archtype.

I definitely take the rare Vampire with pick one, then probably the black Capsule and Infest to follow... another Capsule still there pick 5?? subsequently opening Thornling I'd probably have ended up Jund in this draft myself...

OT - I just lost round 8 of the championship, so I'm 6-2 now... double mulligan on the play, and then a mulligan on the play the following game... I had a chance both games, but he just had all the answers. gonna keep playing, only two more rounds, and I should be in the prizes I reckon...

The guide is really quite strong,I think. I'm not a huge fan of the War Monk because of the manacost, and because I just tend not to like being in bant - despite the previous draft. Like Jesse says, I was angling for a GW aggro deck with stable mana so I don't want the Monk and don't need the citadel.

I've come to like Bant more than I did initially... probably just because WGu and WUg are both good aggro decks... Welkin guide is probably still the safest pick here though.

I bombed out the last rounds of the tournament to finish a disappointing 6-4, sadly outside the top 64 I expect... two dudes with Lavalanche in the last two rounds... joy...
