It is certainly true that something must be done.

Quite ambiguous, but yes. Preparing for a confrontation is important now that we have an approximate idea of their location. We don't know how quickly they can move, especially if they intend to fly, so it's imperative that we prepare now.

Indeed. To simply sit idly by while a threat we are well aware of moves ever closer would our folly.

I'm willing to help however I can. I will need a roll call for those who have been in contact with me and wish to help. If there is anyone who currently isn't affiliated with Brave Vesperia or the Blue Rogues and wishes to help, I am the person to speak with.

Good. I will get back to you with what I can, since we will likely need all the help we can get.

All right.

Defenses, huh? If the Malnosso's barrier isn't good enough, maybe we can try to make our own somehow. One thing's for sure though. Nobody should wander around alone.

What do you suggest?

Back home, there were ways to make barriers through magic, but they'd only cover a few seperate individuals and they weren't completely foolproof. Then there was a kind of... ancient technology that could create a huge, impenetrable barrier like the one we have here.

My point is, there might be someone in the village who has the ability to form a big magical barrier. Or maybe someone knows how to make one with the limited technology we have. It's worth looking into, right?

Then, if magic doesn't work... Well, I guess it's too late to build a fence around the village. But how about setting residents all around as lookouts?

Do you know of the barrier magic yourself? Plenty are skilled in magic, and could possibly be taught how to create a makeshift barrier quickly.

There are a few I know of who can act as scouts, though it seems the roll call for my group has come late.

We're going to have to step up on patrols. On top of that, no one on patrol should be out there without someone else to back them up. Anyone who sees or hears anything suspicious during those patrols, no matter how small it is, should report back as soon as they're a safe distance away from what they found.

I've got a few other ideas, but I'd like to hear some other ones first.

Then I'll be taking one partner, stat. Preferably someone suicidal.

Sorry, but "have you ever felt like throwing yourself off a cliff" isn't something I ask my members.

Unless someone decides to chime in, I'll be going through the list and sending someone myself. [Which might turn into "screw it, I'll go", unless he really forces himself.] Just ... give me a second.

We can help you.

What are your plans?

How many can you speak for? [Since Angel referred to more than himself.]

Until we know that the intruders have been dealt with, we need to confirm that as many people as we can keep track of are taking refuge in the village. Pass that information on to as many of your acquaintances as possible.

If you use weapons, carry them at all times. If any of your acquaintances can't fight for themselves, stay near them or keep in constant contact with them. This is especially important until we know how much closer the intruders are to the village.

My household. Six counting myself. Two are missing right now, thanks to Drusilla... But once we find them, five of the six of us can fight. Technically all of us, but... I've got no doubt that Wesley is going to shelter Fred. I don't know what shape the two Drusilla abducted will return in, so I can't promise that Wesley will be in any shape to fight.

And those in your household are used to fighting together? Considering we have no formal militia, being able to cooperate in small groups is important.

Your abilities, if you can provide the information. Any particular weaknesses or resistances to magic as well -- if these intruders are similar at all to the hybrids from before, they will likely boast strong magic.
