[Recording #1]
[A video recording of Albert's room
as it first appears. There is a series of still-shots of the buzzer and the note that reads "Press for assistance." There is next a series of still-shots of the empty storage room.]
[Recording #2]
[This recording seems to take place between comment threads after
that evening's events. Mostly it's to take still-shots of the dozen rune scrolls he requested, as well as a map of Desset City's streets and landmarks.]
[Recording #3]
[A series of still-shots taken in the middle of the night. Of the giant owl. Along with an audio recording of the owl hooting; the sound bounces off the storage room walls.]

[Recording #1]
[A ground-level sweeping view of the area that the draftees appear in the western part of Desset City. There might be the briefest catches of the other draftees in the corners of the pictures, but Albert is trying to keep the pictures focused on the strange surroundings since it's hard enough to take bright pictures. This is interrupted by the still-shot of a screen full of feathers. Owl feathers.]
[Recording #2]
[More still-shot views from the ground level of the city, approximately mid-morning (not that one can tell with the darkness; it's more an approximation that Albert notes). Empty sidewalks. Abandoned cars. Garbage on the streets. There are some clearer shots of Ted in these pictures, peeking into some of the smaller abandoned buildings with his light. Looks like the two decided to travel together. There's a shot or two of the boy looking warily at the giant owl following them.]
[Recording #3]
[Ted seems to be warming up to the giant owl, tentatively poking at it. The owl takes the poking with an even temperament, and Ted turns to face the journal. The audio of the conversation isn't captured, but the outcome is: Ted struggles to climb up onto the owl's back while Albert watches.
And the owl takes off. With Ted clinging to its back.]
[Recording #4]
[...Well, it seems that Albert is currently minus one Ted and one giant owl. It's approaching noon now (approximate time again), and Albert has been fortunate enough not to have ran into any enemies yet. That is not to last long, though -- the journal is aimed to take still-shots of a group of four cultists patrolling beyond a road blockade. Their heads and wings can be seen beyond the stacked concrete, though the source of the light that makes them visible isn't.
The journal's view shifts as Albert lowers the book, its face aimed down at his feet as he walks in a different direction before it is shut completely.]
[Recording #5]
[Later in the day now. Albert has his journal open to record audio while he searches some of the smaller buildings. There are still-shots of tables, chairs, soda cans, and condiment bottles--items of an overturned restaurant--as he speaks.]
The spirits' magic doesn't work here.
[Recording #6]
[Much later in the day. Albert has been going in and out of smaller buildings, unwilling to risk larger buildings alone, but he's successfully kept out of the way of enemy detection.]
Are you alone?
[Accidental audio recording. The deep voice belongs to Kratos.]
I am.
What happened to the boy you were with? And the owl?
[A pause.] They both flew away.
[There is a deep sigh in response.]
[Recording #6.5]
[Not so much a new recording as it is an audible tidbit following a few minutes of inaudible conversation.]
...Is that Raine's staff?...
[Recording #7]
[More still-shots of the city, now from a more open area to capture better pictures of the tall buildings. The windows of the skyscrapers look like mirrors from the angle Albert takes these images from.
Kratos can be seen in a few of the ground-level shots, still scanning the surrounding area warily.]
[Recording #8]
[An ongoing copying effort: a book of strategy as written by Julian Silverberg. It will take him over an hour to complete.]
[Recording #9]
[A still-shot of Albert's storage room. It's empty. It looks like the owl was not recalled when he was returned to his quarters. Clearly Albert had to take this picture for his own satisfaction.]
[Recording #10]
[
A conversation with Nash.]
[Recording #11]
[By this point, Albert isn't paying too much attention to his journal; he has effectively locked all of the entries to himself, so he won't accidentally send anything out to other residents or combatants. There is the sound of the assistance buzzer.]
I need something for when I am out there in the dark. [That wasn't something he had been all that prepared for; he had underestimated just how dark the large large city would be in the perpetual night.] A torch? Something that will glow? ...Or something that won't be easily detected by the cultists and give away my position.
[This is remarkably difficult when you've never heard of night-vision goggles.] I need something that will let me see in the dark.
[There is a pause. Albert opens the storage door.]
Hoooooo hoooooo...

[Recording #1]
[Pictures of a starlit city, with a tired voice noting that it may be early morning. And what can that possibly mean? That's right -- Albert is back in Desset. It seems that the Malnosso don't have a set timer for how long a draftee gets to recuperate before they are sent back into the field.
There is a picture confirming that the giant owl is back. This time, it is wearing a saddle.]
[Recording #2]
[Still more pictures of the city at what should be dawn. However, unlike the last recording, these pictures are taken from the view of a skyscraper's roof. One or two pictures show Kratos scanning the city below from the roof edge.]
[Recording #3]
[The journal clatters open and faces the sky from a very low angle -- much lower than when Albert takes still-shots. It is still early morning, but again there's no way to firmly know. There is dead air for more than five minutes, then a blindingly bright flash followed by the crack and boom of thunder. There is a glowing purplish figure seen flying across the view of the journal before the sounds fade out again. The journal stops recording after another ten minutes.]
[Recording #4]
[More still-shots. These are more varied now, taking place several minutes apart and from different angles of the city. There are trails of smoke from down below, as well as noticeable signs of new damage to a few buildings. Looks like he's gone into areas where other battles have taken place.]
[Recording #5]
[Accidental sound recording. The journal pages flap and flip rapidly, and a whistling sound can be heard as the journal and its holder cut through the air. There is a screech from the giant owl.]
[Recording #6]
[Still-shots again. Long white feathers. A sword resembling a scimitar. A mauled body.]

[
A conversation with Raine.]

[Recording #?]
[
A conversation with Caesar. Albert hides inside a skyscraper to rest and address Caesar's journal entry, only to get caught off-guard by a cultist swooping into the room from a broken set of windows. He casts Thunder Runner to destroy part of the ceiling, dropping rubble on the cultist's head before he flees down two floors to where his owl was waiting on the other side of building. He heads for cover in the opposite direction the cultist had come from.]
[Recording #?]
[
A brief message to Simon. He had to address the filtered message much later in the day, since he was concerned about getting caught off-guard again.]

[Recording #1]
[A ground-level series of still-shots. A picture of the giant owl with a sunstone in its talons, flying up and away from Albert.]
[Recording #2]
[
A meeting with Mercury. Approximately mid-morning.]
Do you plan to fight with your journal?
I don't plan to fight.
[And Albert shuts his journal.]
[Recording #3]
[
Received video feed from Derek. Video feeds from different points of different days. Written, filtered conversation about looking for high concentrations of cultists in the city.]
[Recording #4]
[A video recording of the giant owl returning. It's been over an hour since it had left. The sunstone is seen being dropped to ground and retrieved by Albert.]
[Recording #5]
[Another ongoing copying effort: one of George Silverberg's warfare texts. It's a thinner text, so it doesn't take as long to copy.]
[Recording #?]
[
Meeting with Ted, approximately two hours later and at mid-afternoon. Ted's greeting is inaudible.]
You're limping, Ted.
It's nothing I can't handle.
[The rest of the conversation is not heard as Albert shuts his journal.]

[Recording #1]
[An early morning video recording. Albert flips his journal open while idly skimming through warfare texts he had asked for. He's just wearing a white bathrobe while drinking coffee. His breakfast is a soft-boiled egg served in an egg cup, bread rolls, and sliced melon. It's an oddly peaceful captured moment.]
[Notable Happening #?]
[
Kain writes a confession to Rydia; entry is left unfinished.
Kain attacks Yuber and is killed. Albert is aware of this.]

[
Ragna attacks Yuber. Fight is recorded and Noel intervenes. Albert observes Noel getting caught as collateral damage.]

[
A conversation with Derek. Derek locates a large concentration of cultists.]
[Notable Happening #?]
[The draftees lay siege upon the concentration of over 30 cultists.
Confirmed participants include Jaffar, Ted, Derek, Yuan, Ragna, Yuber, Folken, Noel, Kratos, Vincent, and Cid.]
