I have felt grief. And rage. Despair, hatred, remorse, pain, etc... Out of all the ill humors, helplessness is the worst. R.A. Salvatore once said something about it that was extremely well said, but I am too tired to go look up the quote. The point is, people feel helpless in this economy. Trapped in lower classes, trapped in minimum wage

I too feel helpless in the face of all these things. When it's really bad, I turn to prayer as I don't have the health or means to join Occupy Wall Street. Some think prayer is a copout; I think it's POWER. But YMMV. *hugs*

Also, my gods would be inclined to have me start barshing heads, and this is a non-violent protest.

I kid, I kid. My gods would want me to be strong, and remain honorable.

I too feel helpless but I'm not sure this (#Occupy...) is the way to go about fixing things. The system is broken and too intertwined with other possibly failing, definitely on the brink, world economic systems to fix it alone. Legislating jobs is not a solution. It only postpones the inevitable.

However, protests which bring to mind the recent "Arab Spring" protests in the middle east? Not so much. After all, theses types of revolutions don't do more than change the faces. The system is too entrenched in the People and I will not advocate for such a thing (#Occupy Movements or whatever) that, should it turn violent, will put the lives of some of those I consider my charge at risk or for no gain.

I agree. I feel no desire whatsoever to have a violent movement, or to over throw the government, or what have you.
For one, the moment bloods starts to fly, I am not longer going to be on one side or the other, in all likelihood, I will be on my own side at that point.
But I have no wish to see innocent people harmed.

I want to hide in my little bubble and not think about that crazyness that exists outside of my little world...

As long as I can pay my rent and a bottle I'm okay...I know not the best way to deal with things but so far it's working for me.
