No idea why this update. Maybe just to stop the claggy mud at the bottom of the drained duckpond that is my LJ entirely drying out, on the offchance there is a buried fish or two somewhere in the weed. Hello, fish ( Read more... )

Fish: *waves*

Coo, a Chilean! How very Exotic.

Hope RL starts toeing the line real soon. It's the time of year for clagginess, though.

Have just glanced over at your LJ, and your hard time dwarfs mine -I'm so sorry to hear about your father, and hope you are coping.

The Chilean is exotic, but has an abiding love for tragic South American MOR which is setting my teeth on edge...

*flops a bit to sparkle scales at you*

Unpleasantness is going around. I think the outer planets are in malefic alignment, so I just cling by fingernails to the mantra "this too shall pass."

Yes, exactly. Having known too many hacks working for provincial newspapers, it has never occurred to me to believe in my horoscope ('All Leos will meet a smouldering stranger' etc), but I gather from The Observer that Saturn is doing something nasty in my seventh house (or something), which explains it all, somehow.

Ah yes, newspaper Sun sign astrology is practically useless, but Saturn is going through Leo at the mo and it is a troublemaker. When these transits happen I just get my ducks in a row as best as possible, hunker down and breathe deeply.

Sorry your Chilean is such a bust. Except for the occasional impenetrable Spanish accent (think the Brooklyn of the hispanoparlante world), I had a fabulous time there.

Another fish here... I gave up checking undergraduates respiratory function a long time ago - I find they are much more fun when asleep..

Hope your life (which has more than a vague similarity to mine - except for the resident Chilean) picks up soon!

Maybe (see above) we are the same star sign and are damned to undergraduate coma and publisher madness because we are Leos.

You may have the Chilean - take him, he's yours.

Oh poor little soul - sounds dire, but lovely to hear from you anyway!

*does the stiff upper lip, but complaining is much more satisfying*

I see you're preparing for a Christmas of being a Stage Door Mother...?
