It occurs to me that wanting to sleep all the time even though I've been getting more or less enough sleep at night is probably a sign of something not-good. But I feel fine otherwise. Hmm. I thought I'd left the needing-more-than-eight-hours-a-night phase when I stopped growing, but. -

Instead of doing actual work (boy, that phrase has been turning up a lot lately), I've been mucking around with LibraryThing. I made one for the books I actually own, and one for the thesis. I have been amusing mysef by sticking bits of my thesis into the "Gender Genie," which claims it can figure out the gender of a writer using the power of Math! (tm). It seems overwhelmingly convinced that I am a dude, except when I am writing about those wussy aesthetes the Ming dynasty literati,* at which point it becomes much less certain. ( Read more... ) -

Okay, so I bet this whole writing-a-thesis thing works better if you ever ACTUALLY WORK ON IT ARG OMG. *clutches head*
I guess I shouldn't complain too hard, though, as the thesis at least gets a more regular workout than this here WhineBlog. Possibly there is some causation in this correlation. -
