Community, jeff/annie
Jeff agrees to a night of babysitting. Of course that decision comes back to haunt him. Thus, Annie comes to save him not only from a crying baby, but also the growing loneliness inside of himself.
But then a slobbery baby and a wide-eyed cardigan-wearing twenty-something entered his apartment. And things changed.

There is a part of him that’s afraid that he will break it in another way, break something far more delicate. Like he’ll break this moment where she understands him, like somehow she has crossed into the territory of the people who can hold. Those people. Basically, everybody. But him.
I love this section. Wonderful work. <3

Also, I couldn't help but think about that scene in Grosse Pointe Blank where Blank is at the reunion and he's holding this baby on his lap, and they stare into each others eyes and have this moment.

Because at some point, from the transition of being a Jeff/Britta shipper to being a Jeff/Annie shipper, I had to ask myself why I had jumped ship. And it occurred to me in this fic why I love them. Because on the outside they are very different people, but they've got these deep, deep issues that they both share and those issues have molded them into the people they are today. Jeff responded with apathy, Annie with unrelenting pathos. But, deep down, they both get each other. And that's why I love those kids.
Also, shipper moments with babies? FAVORITE.
You also should probably inform me once you post your fic, yeah?
