Chapter 1

It seemed like everything had become more and more complicated. Chloe had assumed that their connection had been something she was dreaming, but the more she spent time with him...aside from working, they actually hung out together at his place. The more she spent with him, the more she started feeling that they could definitely be more than 'just friends.'

She had never thought she could be one for 'friends with benefits' because honestly the word sounded horrible, plus she knew it never worked out. But right now she'd give anything to be able to give into those thoughts.

The way Oliver scrunched his nose when he got excited about one of his saves. Or the way he just casually bit his bottom corner of his lip made her want to just grab him and kiss him. She felt sick to her stomach that she had been thinking about this...but it was almost impossible not to.

Chloe hadn't realized that he was talking to her, she had dazed off so many times in the past few weeks that Oliver was starting to get worried.

"You do realize you are not paying attention to a word I have said right?"

Chloe looked over at him confused "huh?"

He shook his head while chuckling. "My point exactly."

Chloe sighed reluctant to look him in the eyes and stared at the computer screen. "Where did everyone go?"

He chuckled a little harder this time. "Chloe...the team left about an hour ago, the mission that you sent them on...seriously...nothing?"

She sighed once more and shook her head "Sorry, I guess my mind isn't in the right place right now."

He smiled and cocked his head to the side. "Look, I think I can speak for the both of us when I say I think we have become pretty close, and considering you know practically everything there is to know about me....and I am pretty sure I know everything about you, don't you think you are able to talk to me about things that are bugging you?"

Chloe felt the way her lips curved almost instantly at his words. "You do know me pretty well. This is just something you can't help me with Ollie." She hated not being able to talk to him, but how in the world was she going to just blurt out that she liked him?

"Why? Is this like a lady problem?" He looked her up and down.

She rolled her eyes and hit him on the shoulder playfully, he put his hands as if surrendering to her. "Whoa. I'm just kidding, you know I'd get you tampons if you needed them though right?"

She scoffed but she laughed knowing that he would definitely get her that, he wasn't embarrassed as most guys would be. "That's not my problem..."

He eyed her and nodded "I think I know what it is....do you have a crush on someone?"

She turned her head so quickly to face him, that she thought if she had done it a bit faster she probably would have twisted her neck pretty hard. "What?!" The tone of her voice had gone so shrill that it sounded a bit squeaky.

He chuckled and nodded "Ding ding...I hit the mark didn't I? Ooh who is he? Come on you can tell me."

Truth was the thought that Chloe liked someone had hit a nerve with Oliver, he had started to have these conflicting feelings and he wasn't sure what they meant. But the thought of Chloe having a crush on someone kind of depressed him.

She shook her head, standing up and walking over to the coffee machine. "It's not a crush....it's nothing."

"Uh huh...is that so? Why are you so squeaky? You only get like that when you are caught."

She turned around to face him and was surprised to see him standing only a few feet away. She backed up a little and eyed him up and down. Putting her hands on her hips she raised an eyebrow.

"My voice was not at all squeaky..."

"Chloe, a mouse could have heard you...fine if you don't want to tell me who it is, that is fine." He turned around but faced her once more. "Oh come on Chlo...pretty please." He was acting like a little kid.

She shook her head in annoyance. "How do you know it's that I like someone?"

He smiled at her with a cocky expression "Because I know you..."

She felt like she was going to cry and she didn't know why. "Yeah you do....I do like someone, but that person just doesn't seem like they are interested...and I don't think I am their type." She shrugged. "Like I said it's nothing."

He furrowed his brow. Stepping forward closing the space that they had, placing one hand on her cheek. "If it's nothing why do you look like you are about to cry?"

A tear poked through and fell almost exactly when he spoke those words. She hated him for knowing her so damn well. As soon as he saw the tear fall all he wanted to do was hold her, tell her it was all going to be okay. She gulped and felt how hot their bodies were close together. 'Why hadn't he removed his hand from her cheek?'

She stared up at him, he cleaned the tear with his thumb and kept his hand still.

He looked at her lips and the way the curves of it made her mouth shape so beautifully. He stepped closer, this time their bodies were completely touching. "What are you doing?"

He placed his other hand on her waist and squeezed her waist softly. He leaned in to her ear, placing the hand he had on her cheek on her hair removing the bit she had over her ears. He leaned in even further so his ear was almost enveloping her whole ear.

She felt her goosebumps start to form and the way her hair was sticking straight up. "Shh." was all he said, he placed a soft gentle kiss on her neck. It was the sweetest kiss she had ever been given, and it wasn't even on her mouth.

She gulped and felt how dry her throat had become. Why the hell did he have to make her feel this way. Was he trying to tell her something? Just a few hours ago she had thought they would never be anything, but now it seemed there was hope..or at least it seemed like it.

He kissed her once more on the neck before traveling to her jawline, placing ever so soft kisses as he went. He finally reached her lips, but before he kissed her, he placed a gentle peck on the curve of her lip where the lips parted. She inhaled but before she had time to react he placed a kiss on her lips.

Grabbing her waist and pulling her even closer to him if that was possible. She reacted almost too quickly and placed her arms behind his neck; interlocking her fingers so they had a hold on the crook of his neck.

She felt the way his tongue swiftly entered her mouth which she allowed entrance almost too hungrily. He pulled her closer and their kiss began to become more passionate, a soft moan escaped her lips before she could stop herself.

It was as if they were the only ones there, nothing or no one was there but them. But it was as if Chloe had thought a little too quickly.

"Whoa....so this is what happens when we leave?"

Chloe and Oliver jumped, and both felt their cheeks burn crimson. Chloe felt her eyes widen at the sight right before her.

Victor, AC, Bart, Clark, and Dinah all had been staring into the stunned blonde's faces.

Oliver let her go and pushed himself off of her a little too quickly. Chloe had felt sick to her stomach but the fact that Oliver pushed himself away like that made her wanna run and hide. 'Was she that embarrassing to be seen with?' she hated herself for feeling this way.

Oliver didn't know why he had just done that, he knew it wasn't because he was ashamed, embarrassed, or any of that...it was just NOT the way he wanted to be seen by his friends. He had promised himself that he would commit to only work and now it seemed like he had fallen into the trap of Chloe. God why did have to feel this way? His heart and his mind were telling him 2 different things.

They looked at each other and looked back at the 5 people staring at them just befuddled. They didn't even know where to start, but they had major explaining to do.
