I will be in Israel in less than 3 weeks. I'm having a hard time thinking about much else. I cannot even enumerate the number of reasons I'm excited to go, and how lucky I feel to be able to do so. I've only been looking forward to this for 11 months now

Wow. What're you anticipating it being like, post-war? What have you heard since then from people there?

Everything seems to be pretty well rebuilt and back to normal, at least in the region we're in. The main difference is that there were a lot of brush fires, so the terrain looks very different. It'll be interesting to see what, if any, changes there are to daily life though. For example, last year, we had Lebanese drivers take us to the site every morning. I bet that's different now.

The mood isn't really much more exciting, but if you ever made time for your friends ::sniffle:: you'd know that.
