oh joel. i am so so sorry. we'll be here through everything. call whenever you need to. you know. i'm glad that beth is with you. when you wish you were around to help your friend, it is comforting to know that they're with a good egg.
i'll call you later.

thanks for the magic. i wasn't particularly wrecked or anything last night. i just felt strange that w/such a powerful subject like death, we didn't have a soul exposing vulnerable piece. thanks for the words of comfort though. i appreciate it and have always really felt for you and what you went through w/yr mom.

Thanks, Joel, man. No, I didn't think you were a Wreck. Just - off stage, I saw something seemed, you know, not... Peaches N Cream. Or Oreos. Or whatever. You know. Desserts. Things seemed Not Desserts.

I hear you. It took me 8 months to even write a single piece about my mom's death and then I went straight to writing humor, so. As potent and real and in yo face as death is when you're facing it, we cope with it often by going to extremes in other areas of our life. For example, humor. Also eating lots and lots of cannoli.

i'm sorry to hear about this, j-town. i have heard that heaven is pretty dope, though, and i have pre-requested a unicorn for her in the event she gets there before the rest of us. gimme a call when you feel like it, my brother.

I'm really sorry to hear about your god daughter, I'm not saying that because I think you are posting to hear people say it, it truly is very sad, I can't even imagine how difficult. The nice thing about being in an over dramatic community of poets/artist, is that when there actually hard things going on in our lives, we know how to take a break from being dramatic about nothing, and be real about things that are actually very difficult. It's a good community to share with and it can really help. I'll keep you guys in my prayers.

On an added note, there is a prayer circle in California and if you give them the name of someone you want to pray for they will include them in their daily prayers, something like three times a day for three months, free of course. You can always re-enter the persons name after three months. The website is www.yoganada~srf.org or you can call 1-323-225-2471 and tell them the names. Hope that helps.
