the lilac bush outside the back door is wafting its fabulous flowery scent through the entire 1st floor. the cut lilacs my mom put by my bed are covering the 2nd floor. my house smells like heaven. this is just 1 of the million reasons i am happy to be home.

ooooooh!!! Super jealous!! Mike bought me a bouquet when I was home. Lilacs are a favorite. I'm impressed yours are still blooming, they were blooming in MA when I was home (a little).

i don't think i truly appreciated lilacs until just this week. nice pick for a fave. they never would have occurred to me. i've always loved the candles and whatnot, but the flower, somehow i didn't associate the two greatnesses. i hope you were able to enjoy the bouquet as much as i am enjoying my few cut ones. they sure are wonderfully potent! :) i also hope you're not working too hard. easy for me to say now that i'm not at all, but i still hope you're not being overwhelmed. i'm starting back at my summer hospital job next thursday. i went back to visit them today, and it was so exciting just to hold a kitten for SQ fluids. it's silly how stuff i used to do everyday is suddenly such a treat now, after the year in the basement classroom.
