Whatever I expected my future to be, it wasn't this. If this is an afterlife, it's a strange one. Definitely not heaven and an odd sort of hell if it is one. Purgatory? Maybe. Not everyone here remembers dying, either, but at least one who doesn't I know to be deceased. As all beings die, merely remembering death or being remembered as dead

I've gotten in contact with Misa-san; it seems she and I were both taken from our "world" at about the same time frame. She has no idea about Raito-kun's status; it's possible he isn't here yet -- or won't be.

If that's so, I'm not sure what to think of our grouping here... There would be absolutely no reason for Raito to kill Misa-san during the time frame discussed, and I think it unlikely she predicted my train of thought far enough to lie about it purposely. It can't be a coincidence that all of us in connection with the Kira case are arriving together... and I don't think all of us are deceased. Though that may not be consoling to you (as you recollect your death), it may mean that nothing is set in stone. There may yet be hope, in that regard...

Alongside this, I've discovered a few assets that will be vital in the investigation. There are several other things I still wish to learn before I can even begin to call myself satisfied -- but we should meet again to discuss these details more privately.

She couldn't have died then; she was still alive when I died, though she once again didn't seem to have any memory of what she'd been doing for Kira, perhaps because he now had Teru to do that for him.

Maybe if I could get back, that might be so. Maybe. And then again I might just be dead away from here. I don't care much for either option: being trapped here sucks, but just being dead would be worse.
