No worries Chellewski, you're not alone. We'll beat through this damnable rough patch somehow my friend.

My advice? Don't be afraid to do things that make no sense or aren't the socially or financially optimal thing to do. Don't be like your brother and screw your life over, but sometimes it's in the adventure of fighting through that we find the most meaningful things in life. Pick a direction, go 150% that way until you don't recognize where you are and then revel and contemplate where you are for a week. After that week is over, pick a new direction, hold on to what you've gained, and take off again pausing only to breathe the fresh air and contemplate how you got where you are. Keep a goal in mind, but refuse to go straight to it.

"A dream is only ever a dream if it never comes true." If it does come true it was never a dream, but just inevitability waiting to happen.

Don't beat yourself up, Matt: if what you're going through is teenage angst, then that makes me a flat-out drama queen, because I've been talking all year long about how things have been rough. Everybody has tough times, and not everyone has had an easy time with college, even if it seems like it sometimes. I'm hoping I'll see you tomorrow at Speech Club competition (I'm helping to time or something…whatever Mrs. Ringlee tells me to do), and Micah tells me you'll be there too, so I'm hoping I'll see you!
