Jeff and Annie's Page-a-Day Calendar (11/?)

Jun 15, 2011 14:20

This one was inspired by an interview I watched with Alison Brie wherein she mentioned how the writers work in the actors' talents, and said something about how she doesn't know what hers is.

It's a bit of a break from my usual writing style - I generally write more about thoughts than I do dialogue, and when I do write dialogue in longer fics, it's ( Read more... )

Annie also has the unique talent of warming hearts. Much like your fics!

Have we officially met?

I'm Hannah :) (Or Moose, but you probably already figured that one out)

This is so perfect and now I'm smiling and in a good mood so thank you!!

You say you're not comfortable with dialogue? I thought the dialogue was really good and in character with the show.

If you need ideas, I can toss out a few (not sure if they're what you are looking for, but whatevs):
1. In Celebrity Pharmacology, we see Annie doesn't have the greatest car. How about it breaks down and Jeff tries to fix it or offers a ride? (this has probably been done to death in other fics but I love this concept)
2. Jeff is failing a class and asks Annie for a one-on-one study session.
3. Hot summer day, eating ice cream (well, Jeff would probably order non-fat, sugar-free frozen yogurt or something healthy like that)
4. Annie ropes Jeff into volunteering with her at an animal shelter. Annie + Jeff + puppies = ADORABLE!!!!

And if you need ideas, you can always look through the Ficcy Friday posts for prompts you could turn into drabbles.

Eee! You guys have totally been spoiling me with these awesome reviews. I love you <3

And those are all such great ideas :)

I already posted today's drabble in the middle of the night (I sort of haven't gone to sleep yet. Again. Fail.), but I'll definitely think about these when I'm writing for tomorrow's.

“Okay, first of all,” Jeff began, “Pierce doesn’t write music. He steals well known songs, and tacks on the world’s worst lyrics.” He knew she was about to come to their friend’s defense, so continued on, “And all those other things…They’re things we’ve all had to practice at to get better. Well,” he conceded, “Not Abed. I’m pretty sure he’s never actually had a dance lesson, but people really shouldn’t compare themselves to Abed. It just gets weird.”

Annie chuckled slightly, but didn’t seem to perk up much.

Jeff continued, “You, Annie, you have this amazing talent that you don’t even have to work at… You make people want to be better.” She fixed him then with the beginnings of a genuine smile. “And when they want to be better, suddenly, they are.”Honestly, Annie's talent is the best because it has long-standing results and because it's effortless on her part and it's just so her. It's not so much a talent as a gift, and I love that you have Jeff recognising it her and complimenting her about it... so adorable ( ... )
