yesterday we had the worst. blizzard. ever. it snowed like 4" and they closed a lot of schools. boooring. anyways, my car is frozen to the ground today since it rained after the snow stopped. (also, how could it rain in february?) so it looks like somebody's got a 5 day weekend! w00t!

i made the new design to my website live today. i learned php over the last week to create a MySQL backend. it was ok. it works pretty well as far as i can tell.

i got my gigabeat last night. technical difficulties make it a little annoying. it only works with windows media player 10, which only runs on XP, and i have win2k at home. so i had to burn a dvd of hot jamz and bring it to work to get some songs on it quick. but, there's a program for mac that should work with it. maybe i can hack one of the ( Read more... )

today i've been working on a scene graph library. except it's not a graph at all, so i guess a scene list library. it's harder than i thought to computationally generate a triangulated sphere.

i'm getting some good output from it: WHAT KIND OF BEES MAKE MILK?

i've been working on a very avant-garde program to get some stuff done here at work, and it's been turning out very nicely. l@@k! at this screenshot. i've got it where it can correctly output a linear script file, load a model, do cel-shaded rendering, and do almost all the actions to the visual representation of the script that it needs to.

today we rode the T with the rocking-est lady in this city. first! she was singing along to "jumpin jack flash" in that extra-loud-headphones-on voice. then, she asks the guy sitting across from her, in the same voice, "DO YOU LIKE ROCK AND ROLL?" now that i know you can just ask people that i know how to make conversation with strangers ( Read more... )
