Writer's Block: Local Favorite
There are so many things, but I think my favorite is Powell's Books in downtown Portland. Powell's is the largest bookstore west of the Mississippi, and it is very easy to get lost in there for HOURS. Lots of fun for book fiends like me, and most of my friends!

Medical alert
A few days ago something happened that to me could have been much more serious than it did actually turn out to be. I went to the Dr. for a physical, and I was reminded by his assistant that I was overdue for a tetanus shot.
