Awww he sounded so sad! But he seems like a nice guy so hopefully you can still be friends without it being awkward. (Maybe if he was less awkward in real life it would have worked out! :p) Anyway, I'm glad you feel like you learned something from it, relationships can be difficult and next time hopefully you'll find a guy who you have no doubts about :D
