WARNING: ABSURDIST HUMOR AHEAD
In my various explorations of youtube I ran across what has to be one of the most absurd concerts ever. This is the Leningrad Cowboys (a soviet pop/rock cover group (?)) backed by the Red Army Choir, singing Just a Gigolo. Notice the dancers that show up about a minute into things.

You can't say I didn't warn you. There actually is another video of "Just a Gigolo" that has the various cowboys wandering around with baritones and in the end making various leapings toward the crowd. Overall it wasn't as good as this one as the camera man spent a lot of time focusing on the lighting so you couldn't actually see the stage.

But I'll probably have a hard time hearing a Russian deacon without thinking about the Life of Brian now. :-D

Ha. That video wasn't nearly powerful enough to erase the memory of my first experience in a service with a Russian (or in this case, Polish) deacon. He was amazing.

I think my favorite part of the first video was seeing Just a Gigolo being played on various sizes of balalaika.

Actually, they're Finnish. But that is indeed the Soviet Red Army Choir.
