Well, after falling off the edge of the earth for the last 6 months (rather appalling months, which we shall hastily gloss over), I am briefly sticking my head above the parapet to say that I'm still alive. University is going well, I'm starting a new job the week after next, and am feeling really rather happy with everything.

After much careful thought, and a thorough assessment of what I'm going to need to do over the next 2 years while as working full time and doing a rather intense part-time master's degree, I've decided to put all writing, with associated blogging and social networking, on hold to concentrate on making the most of the opportunities currently in ( Read more... )

Yay! Everything imported over to dreamwidth now. Excellent - at least I've now got a backup for the next time LJ falls over.

In other news, flu seems to be percolating out, which is nice. Just want to get back to normal, be able to GET THINGS DONE. Nevermind.

Sick with flu at home, now v. dissapointed Sirens (Channel 4) is over - and there does not seem to be an announcement about a new season. Buggerpants.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a brighter day - today is just stupidly fluish and ew.

Going swimmingly - very very interesting. So far, we've have Total-E-Bound talking about epublishing, and Victoria Blisse talking about writer's block. Many panels to come. Am very impressed both by the amount of people, and the professionalism.

See, I don't have any party political affiliation in the UK - I just base my vote on the issues that concern me. But allowing keeping someone like that within the party, let alone within government, makes me rethink my position.
